TOUR THROUGH SICILY
First Day
PALERMO
Arrival of the group in Palermo.
Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Second Day
PALERMO - MONREALE
After breakfast, meeting with the local guide and sightseeing of the capital of Sicily. Palermo is a city rich in history and art. Visit to the Cathedral, the Royal Palace and the precious Palatine Chapel.
Continue to the old town and visit the Quattro Canti and the Teatro Massimo, Palermo's opera house. In the middle of Piazza Pretoria is located the beautiful fountain decorated with statues, dating from the 16th century. Continue to Monreale to visit the magnificent cloister with 228 decorated columns and the imposing Norman Cathedral, rightly called the ‘eighth wonder of the world’, thanks to the unique spectacular mosaic works. Afterwards, visit of the Martorana Church and the Sanctuary of St. Rosalia on Monte Pellegrino.

Third Day
SELINUNTE – ERICE - SEGESTA
After breakfast, drive to Selinunte, the largest archaeological park in the Mediterranean. Here you can walk through the remains of an ancient Greek city in the middle of a suggestive landscape close to the African sea. Continue to Erice, a medieval village on the mountain of San Giuliano. Here it is impossible to resist the temptation to enter the winding streets and be conquered by the magic of the beautiful courtyards filled with flowers, by the handcraft of the skilled embroiderers and by the fragrance of the typical sweets of Erice. In the afternoon, visit of Segesta with its solitary temple and walk to the Greek Theatre on the Monte Barbaro.

Forth Day
CEFALU – TINDARI - ACIREALE - GIARDINI DI NAXOS
Departure towards Cefalù, picturesque town at the foot of a high and imposing rock. The famous town offers many interesting alleys and sea views. Here is one of the oldest cathedrals of the Norman period in Sicily, which has preserved intact the original style. In the afternoon, continue to Tindari and visit the Sanctuary of the "Black Madonna". From the forecourt of the sanctuary there is a beautiful view of the cliffs of Tindari, the hinterland of Milazzo and the Lipari Islands.

Fifth Day
ETNA – TAORMINA
After breakfast, drive to Mount Etna. With its 3.370 m height, it is the highest active volcano in Europe. At 2000 mt you can enjoy a beautiful panorama over most of Sicily. Hike up to the Silvestri craters: small volcanic cones, extincted a century ago, around which the lava flown out during the last eruptions can still be seen. Afterwards, free time for shopping in Taormina, the pearl of Sicilian tourism. Everyone will be able to decide whether to be charmed by the fascinating Greek-Roman Theatre or by the austere atmosphere of the ancient Duomo. Alternatively, one can relax with an unforgettable walk along the main street, where one may shop typical Sicilian handcrafts. Free time for shopping: you will find precious lace, jewellery in coral, wrought iron objects, ceramics, typical sweets and preserves.

Sixth Day
SIRACUSA
Drive towards Syracuse.
Syracuse is a city built with dazzling white stone. The city walls and the Ear of Dionysus with its frightening echo, the largest Greek Theatre on the island and the Paradise Quarries are all made of this stone. But there is also the other Syracuse with the Cathedral on the small island of Ortigia, which wants to conquer you with its beauties. In the evening accommodation and dinner at the hotel.

Seventh Day
PIAZZA ARMERINA - AGRIGENTO
Drive to Piazza Armerina. Visit to Villa del Casale, in the middle of a Mediterranean garden rich in oleanders, agaves, mimosas. It is one of the largest museum complexes in the world, with 3,500 square meters of colourful floor mosaics portraying hunting and sport scenes, as well as mythological and historical themes.
In the afternoon, visit to the Valley of the Temples, where under hundreds of almond trees lie the remains of Akragas, called by Pindarus 'the most beautiful city of mortals'. You will visit the Temple of Hera and touch the shell stone columns that are transformed into gold by the sunlight. Then the Concordia Temple and all the others that will take your breath away.

Eighth Day
CATANIA - RIVIERA DEI CICLOPI
In the morning continue to Catania, the “Black City” with the great baroque cathedral and the fascinating old town, divided in two by Via Etnea: here you can get the best ice cream. Walk along one of the most beautiful baroque streets in Italy: Via dei Crociferi. In the middle of Piazza del Duomo you can see the emblem of Catania, the Fountain of the Elephant, also called 'Liotru' after the name of the legendary magician Eliodoro. And, further, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Bellini Opera House, the University and Palazzo Biscari. In the afternoon, continue along the Cyclops Riviera with some short photo stops in the small fishing villages of Acitrezza and Acicastello. Short visit also in the center of Acireale.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel on the Jonian Riviera.
Ninth Day
DEPARTURE FROM CATANIA
After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Catania airport and departure.
